Treats children from toddlerhood to late adolescence. Special considerations in this population include treatment of separation anxiety, school refusal. 

Treats women's mental health across the lifespan. Specializes in women with ADHD. Also treats issues around puberty, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), premenstrual dysmorphic disorder (PMDD), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), perimenopause, menopause, and more. 

Passionate about social justice and addressing the needs of underserved populations with an understanding of ableism and the disability rights movement. Underserved populations can include LGBTQIA+ and those seeking gender affirming care, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), those in alternative relationships, and more.

Treats adults from young adulthood to old age. Special considerations in the geriatric population include treatment of dementia, delirium, and agitation.

Treats people during pre-conception planning, pregnancy, lactation, and postpartum. Sensitive to issues around birth control, loss, birth trauma, infertility (IVF, IUI, ICI, etc.) and more. Dr. Duan has extensive experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings with those who have postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, psychosis, and bipolar disorder.
